Event: Row-Snatch Power
60/45 cal row, divided. The rower advances every 20/15 calories.
15 reps of snatches (any style) at each the following weights.
Snatches: Think of it as ground-to-overhead in one movement. Muscle snatches, power snatches, squat snatches, are all good reps as long as the plates start at the ground and the bar finishes on locked-out elbows overhead with the ear clearly visible in front of the head (“head through”). Movement standards video here.
Execution: All work is divided in any pattern of the teams’ choosing. Any of the 3 athletes can work, but only 1 works at a time; 2 rest. Men will use 45# bars; Women will use 35# bars. Teams will add load to their own bars at every weight increase AND advance the bars to a new location at every weight increase. Workout demonstration video here.
Scoring: The score for this workout is the total number of snatches successfully completed. The calories on the rower are merely a buy-in, and do not count as reps toward the team score.
